VOLUNTEER TEAM OF THE YEAR BCV were the winners of the Volunteer Team of the Year award at the 2018 Volunteer Star Awards for Staffordshire, a fitting accolade in our 25th anniversary year.

BCV is celebrating 25 years in 2018! Here is a look-back over the last 25 years to give an idea of the wide range of tasks that we have worked on.

New Year Walk: Ticknall and Swarkestone. A linear walk of 7.5 miles (bus one way) taking in two interesting Landmark Trust properties along the way. Meet at Ticknall village car park (by the Village Hall and toilets, postcode DE73 7JX) at 10.15 am - please arrive on time or you'll miss the bus. Bring your bus pass if you have one, also food and drink for the walk.

7.30 pm Staffordshire Wildlife Trust talk: Wild Goose Chase by Dave Hollis. Venue: All Saints Church Hall, Branston Road. Cost: adults £2.50, children free.
